Summer is in full swing. A number of community groups in collaboration with the NYC Parks Department and frequently some measure of government funding, have put together a summer full of free summer theater in the parks. The free theatre events listed below are designed for young and old alike and they're FREE.

Location. Brooklyn Bridge Park is located along the East River spanning from the Manhattan Bridge to south of the Brooklyn Bridge. It is just west of Furman Street in Brooklyn Heights and northwest of Water Street in Dumbo. All movies are shown on the Harbor View Lawn which is just south of Hotel 1 between Vine & Middagh Streets. As the eastern border of the park is the Brooklyn Queens Expressway, there are limited entrances from the Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo neighborhoods. The Harborview Lawn may be accessed by crossing over the BQE at Middaugh Street in Brooklyn Heights.

I. BRIC Location. All BRIC events are at the Prospect Park Bandshell at 9th Avenue and Prospect Park West, unless otherwise noted. It is also called the Lena Horne bandshell.

• July - August 6, 2022 on various days / beginning at various times - BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn Festival.
