This report details a number of upcoming Memorial Day Weekend parades in Brooklyn NYC.

NYC Weather Forecast as of 5.21.26. There's a 75% chance of up to 1.25 inches of rain on Saturday, starting sometime between 1 and 5 pm and extending into Sunday, with another .25 to .5 inch of rain, ending sometime between 1 and 4 pm. There's a 20% to 40% chance of a negligible amount of rain Monday. The temperature highs will hover between 60 to 65 all weekend, except Monday where it will rise to 70 degrees. The temperature lows will hover in the mid 50's to high 50's all weekend. The winds will range from 1 - 10 mph on Friday, 5 - [mostly] 10 mph Saturday & Sunday, and then back down to 1 - 5 mph Monday. The humidity will swing wildly all weekend, from 80% to 40% Friday, 60% to 95% Saturday, 95% to 80% Sunday and finally levelling off on Monday in the 60% range. It will be cloudy all days of the three day holiday weekend.

* Sunday, May 24, 2026 beginning at 12 noon [estimated end time is 4 pm] - 5 Borough Veterans - NYC Memorial Ruck March - begins at [195] Cadman Plaza Brooklyn War Memorial. Marchers are encouraged to fill their rucksacks with non-perishables to carry over the Brooklyn Bridge and onto Battery Park, stopping at war memorials along the way. The nonperishables will be donated to homeless shelters for veterans at the end of the march. * Carnarsie _ Monday, May 25, 2026 from 10 am - 12 noon - Brooklyn Canarsie Lions Club Memorial Day Parade - Assembly begins at 9.30 am in the parking lot of the Holy Family Church at 9719 Flatlands Avenue. The parades heads southeast along East 98th Street to Avenue L. It then turns right heading southwest along Avenue L before turning right heading northwest along Remson Avenue, where the parade marches a couple of blocks before stopping at the Carnarsie Cemetery to honor the fallen. After the cemetery commemoration ceremony, the parade continues north on Remson turning right onto Conklin Avenue, ending at the American Legion at 1130 East 92nd Street. * Bay Ridge _ Monday, May 25, 2026 beginning at 11 am - The 159th Brooklyn / Kings County / Bay Ridge Memorial Day Parade - steps off on 3rd Avenue and 78th Street in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. The parade proceeds down to Marine Avenue, then heads up to 4th Avenue, then over to John Paul Jones Park for their memorial service which includes bag pipes, flag raising and wreath laying by Veteran Service Organizations. This is followed by a 21-gun salute and the playing of Taps by the Veteran Corps of Artillery. Organized by the United Military Veterans of Kings County. * Bedford Stuyvesant _ Monday, May 25, 2026 from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm / 4 pm - 15th Bedford Stuyvesant Veterans' Memorial Day Parade - Assembles at 11.30 am, steps off 12 noon from Restoration Plaza at 1368 Fulton Street in Bedford Stuyvesant in Brooklyn. The parade marches north to BVSJ HQ at 665 Willoughby Plaza in Bedford-Stuyvesant Brooklyn, where at 1 pm there will be closing ceremonies. Organized by the Black Veterans for Social Justice.
